About The Position

mPrest, a leading company in the development and integration of complex systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in designing and developing large control systems, in-depth knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD), and advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. The role includes designing mechanical solutions for advanced control systems operating in harsh environments, managing subcontractors, and providing technical guidance to mechanical engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design of large control and monitoring systems, including sub-systems, moving components, and electrical wiring, using SolidWorks.
  • Conduct detailed thermal, structural, and dynamic analyses while adhering to military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, control, and software teams to develop tailored solutions for customer and system requirements.
  • Develop robust mechanical enclosures and fixtures designed for extreme environmental conditions (vibration, temperature, humidity, etc.).
  • Guide and mentor mechanical engineers throughout the development process to ensure optimal design and adherence to standards.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors, including defining technical requirements, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeline compliance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including SolidWorks drawings, system specifications, and manufacturing files.
  • Support integration processes and validation (V&V) and qualification testing to meet project milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc) – mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing complex mechanical systems for large control systems – mandatory.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including parametric design, assembly creation, and drawing generation – mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275) – mandatory.
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors and mentoring mechanical engineers – mandatory.
  • Experience in structural, thermal, and vibration analysis using CAE tools – an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary systems integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
